SPARSH Annual Pension Statement: Download, Read Yearly Pension and Reconcile Payments

The annual statement is the wide-angle lens. Use it to review a year of pension activity, then drill into individual pension slips when a total or month looks unusual.

What an annual pension statement is useful for

An annual pension statement summarises pension information across a larger period than a monthly pension slip. It can help with yearly reconciliation, income documentation and checking whether revision, arrears or deductions were reflected across the year.

How to download the statement

  1. Sign in to the official SPARSH pensioner account.
  2. Open the pension-document or statement section.
  3. Select Annual Pension Statement or the equivalent yearly statement option.
  4. Select the relevant year/financial period offered.
  5. Open/download the PDF.
  6. Verify pensioner identity and the period covered.
  7. Store the file securely.

How to reconcile the year

  1. Start with the annual total.
  2. Identify months with revision, arrears or unusual deductions.
  3. Open the pension slips for those months.
  4. Compare the bank credits.
  5. Compare tax/TDS with Form 16 for the same financial year.
  6. Keep revision/corrigendum orders beside the statement if they explain a change.

If the statement is missing

  • Check the correct year/financial period.
  • Confirm that the statement has been generated for that period.
  • Try another current browser or allow official PDF downloads.
  • Check whether monthly slips are available.
  • Raise a targeted request naming the exact year if the statement should exist but remains unavailable.

If totals look wrong

Do not edit the PDF. Reconcile monthly slips, bank credits and pension orders. A yearly difference may be caused by arrears paid in one month, a mid-year pension revision, tax deduction, commutation/recovery or a missing/duplicated period.

Annual statement versus Form 16

The annual pension statement summarises pension activity. Form 16 is a tax/TDS certificate. They may contain related figures, but they are not interchangeable. Reconcile the correct financial year and investigate material differences before tax filing or official submission.

Safe sharing

The statement can expose a year of pension and identity information. Share it only when required, and mask unnecessary identifiers in general support screenshots.
