SPARSH DETAILED GUIDE

SPARSH Family Pension: Eligibility Records, Claim Process and Common Problems

Family pension is a rule-based entitlement process, not simply a nominee change. Accurate family records, the correct claim route and complete evidence are the pieces that keep the process from turning into paperwork fog.

What family pension means

Family pension is pension payable to an eligible family member under the applicable pension rules after the circumstances that trigger entitlement. The identity of a nominee does not by itself decide eligibility. The competent pension authority applies the relevant rules to the verified family and pension record.

Keep family records accurate before a claim

  • Spouse/family member names should be correctly recorded.
  • Dates of birth and relationships should be accurate.
  • Marriage, birth, death and other relevant civil records should be available where applicable.
  • Bank details for the claimant should be correct when requested.
  • Nomination should be reviewed separately, but not treated as proof of eligibility.

Preparing a family-pension claim

The exact documents and workflow depend on the pension category and claimant circumstances. Follow the current official claim checklist. Typical preparation may involve the PPO/pension record, death-related evidence where applicable, claimant identity, relationship/family records, bank details and declarations specified by the authority.

Do not upload every family document you possess. Use the exact evidence requested for the claim.

General claim workflow

  1. Identify the official family-pension claim/service route applicable to the pension.
  2. Confirm that the family record is accurate.
  3. Enter the claimant details exactly as supported by official records.
  4. Provide the requested pension/PPO reference.
  5. Provide bank details carefully.
  6. Upload the required evidence.
  7. Review names, dates and relationships before submitting.
  8. Save the acknowledgement.
  9. Track remarks and respond to any objection.
  10. After approval, verify the sanction/document and first payment.

If the case is pending

Read the detailed request remarks. Determine whether action is pending from the claimant, Record Office, sanctioning authority or another office. Reply to the same acknowledgement with the requested evidence instead of creating duplicate family-pension cases.

After sanction

  • Review the family-pension order/PPO or relevant sanction document.
  • Check the effective date.
  • Verify the claimant bank account.
  • Check the first pension credit.
  • Review any arrears for the eligible period.
  • Keep the sanction and supporting records permanently.

Safety

Family-pension claims involve sensitive civil, identity and bank documents. Use official secure channels. Nobody needs the claimant's bank PIN, card CVV or OTP to sanction pension.
