Education assistance

Odisha's official Home Department activity report records processing of annual education scholarship applications for wards of ESM/widows through the Ministry of Defence/Kendriya Sainik Board.

Marriage assistance

The same official report records daughter-marriage grant applications processed for eligible ESM/widows through KSB.

Penury assistance

Official reporting confirms processing of penury-grant applications for eligible non-pensioner ex-servicemen.

Disabled-child support

The State Board has processed grants for eligible disabled children of ex-servicemen through the Ministry of Defence/KSB.

Gallantry and non-gallantry awards

The Odisha Home Department reports State monetary benefits for eligible recipients of gallantry and non-gallantry awards sanctioned by the Government of Odisha.

Education/reservation certificates

Current Odisha technical-education material requires ex-servicemen reservation certificates in the prescribed format issued by Rajya Sainik Board/Zilla Sainik Board where the quota is claimed.

Central benefits are separate

State welfare does not replace Central schemes administered by Kendriya Sainik Board, DESW, DGR, ECHS or SPARSH. An eligible veteran may need to use both State and Central channels depending on the benefit.
