Registration of ex-servicemen
State personnel material assigns registration of resident ex-servicemen, including disabled ESM, and dependants of personnel killed in action to the State's ex-servicemen employment/welfare machinery.
Employment assistance
Official State material describes placement of registered ESM, liaison with employers and monitoring of vacancies reserved for ex-servicemen.
Employment grievances
The State framework also includes looking into complaints relating to employment of ex-servicemen and ensuring recruitment policy is followed.
Martyr-family employment assistance
Himachal Pradesh has issued specific instructions for employment assistance to eligible dependants of defence personnel killed in operations. These cases require verification and competent-authority processing.
What to prepare
Keep discharge/ESM documents, Himachal bonafide/residence evidence where required, pension details, education certificates, family/dependency proof and scheme-specific papers.
Use current orders
Employment and welfare rules have changed over time. Use the latest Directorate/Personnel Department order for age relaxation, reservation, eligibility or monetary assistance.
Central schemes remain separate
KSB/RMEWF, DGR, ECHS and SPARSH are Central channels even where the State Directorate assists with verification or liaison.
