Step 1: Decide which level you need
Polyclinic: routine local service and polyclinic issues. Station HQ: administrative/local escalation where applicable. Regional Centre: hospital, reimbursement and issues escalated beyond the polyclinic.
Step 2: Open the live ECHS Regional Centre directory
The official directory publishes Regional Centre appointments and also lists Station Headquarters and polyclinics under the relevant region. Because officers and numbers change, this guide intentionally does not freeze the full directory into a static list.
Step 3: For an empanelled-hospital problem
Contact the Director Regional Centre immediately if there is a cash demand, bed problem, poor service, negligence, substandard treatment or another hospital-related difficulty. Keep referral/authorisation and hospital details ready.
Step 4: For reimbursement
Use the concerned Regional Centre. The official FAQ identifies the Jt Director (HS) or Director Regional Centre as the route for reimbursement complaints.
Step 5: For a polyclinic service complaint
Approach the OIC Polyclinic first and then Station Headquarters where required. Record the date, person contacted and outcome before escalating.
Step 6: For general clarification or card support
The live ECHS website currently shows toll-free 1800-114-115. For card-related issues it publishes the dedicated card-support email on the homepage. ECHS also currently displays WhatsApp support numbers; verify them on the live homepage before messaging.
Step 7: What to say when you contact ECHS
Give your name, ECHS registration number or Claim ID as relevant, parent polyclinic, registered mobile, a one-paragraph description, dates and the exact action you need. Attach only relevant evidence and never disclose OTP/password/PIN.
