Formula
Commuted value = monthly amount commuted × 12 × commutation factor for age next birthday.
The factor table used here is the post-6th CPC table for commutations becoming absolute on or after 2 September 2008.
Maximum percentage
The Ministry of Defence order permits Armed Forces personnel to commute up to 50% of pension for lump-sum payment. Do not enter more than the percentage actually sanctioned or chosen.
Important exception
Older commutations may use an earlier table. This calculator is intended for the revised table applicable from 2 September 2008 onward.
