Earned-leave cash equivalent = (pay + admissible DA) ÷ 30 × eligible EL days.
This page deliberately calculates the earned-leave component only. It does not attempt to calculate a Half Pay Leave component, because that can require additional pension-related inputs and rule checks.
300-day ceiling
For retirement encashment under the applicable Central Government leave framework, the combined eligible leave ceiling is commonly up to 300 days subject to the governing rule and the employee’s actual leave credit. Do not enter 300 merely because it is the ceiling.
LTC encashment is different
LTC-linked encashment has separate conditions and limits. Use this calculator for the simple earned-leave cash-equivalent arithmetic, not to decide whether a particular LTC encashment claim is admissible.
